That’s HUGE. Just consider those numbers for a moment. If you send out 1000 emails, that’s 140 extra sets of eyeballs viewing your content.
And, in a study of more than 93,000 calls-to-action and hundreds of millions of views over a 12-month period, HubSpot found that calls-to-action that were targeted to the user had a 42% higher view-to-submission rate than calls-to-action that were the same for all visitors. (Source: HubSpot).
This Is Incredibly Powerful...
...when you think about how you can apply it to your business. People are not cookie cutters, and one size definitely doesn’t fit all (despite what late-night infomercials may have told you). If a viewer of your webpage has already downloaded your free whitepaper, give them a different CTA, such as a “buy now” button, instead of the “download” CTA you give first-time visitors. This will not only look better to your customer, but as you can see by these stats, your conversions will thank you.
While we’re on the topic of powerful personalization stats...research has also shown that in-house marketers who are personalizing their web experiences and who are able to quantify the improvement see, on average, a 19% uplift in sales. Brutal! But I get it. (You totally want to try this, don't you 😉 .)
